SUMMARY:Relaxing of Directed Health Measures to begin May 13
DESCRIPTION:The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department (ELVPHD)\, in consultation with the State of Nebraska\, will move to less restrictive Directed Health Measures (DHMs) on Wednesday\, May 13\, 2020. The new DHMs for ELVPHD apply to Burt\, Cuming\, Madison\, and Stanton counties.\n\n \n\nThese less restrictive DHMs allow for the limited reopening of dine-in services at restaurants and of salons\, barber shops\, tattoo parlors\, and massage therapy services. They also allow for an increase in the per room/space childcare limits from 10 to 15 children (subject to the usual child-to-staff ratios). \n\n \n\n"This is a first step in the process of reopening\," said Norfolk Mayor Josh Moenning. "As we do so\, it's important to remain smart\, aware\, and vigilant about our health and the health of our neighbors. This isn't an 'either or' situation. Heightened personal responsibility and commonsense should be our guides as we promote personal health and wellness and preserve our health care systems while also reengaging in community life and supporting our small businesses." \n\n \n\nFurther reopening guidance\, for business owners and patrons\, can be found on the City website at https://norfolkne.gov/government/departments/communications-office/covid19/recommendations-for-best-practices.html. For specific questions regarding these updates please contact the ELVPHD directly at (402) 529-2233 or toll-free 877-379-4400. On-going updates are also available on the ELVPHD Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/elvphd
