Sunset Plaza - Touch a Truck event
Norfolk, NE – The Sunset Plaza Mall is putting kids in the driver’s seat on Saturday, August 3 during their family-friendly TOUCH A TRUCK event from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. This hands-on event offers children the opportunity to EXPLORE, CLIMB and TOUCH trucks, heavy machinery and other equipment, cars and trucks. Children will be able to meet the personnel who protect, serve and build our community. Christina Julius, Marketing Director for the Sunset Plaza says, “we are super excited about our Back2School event giving children the opportunity to connect this these gigantic vehicles from the Norfolk community!”
The free event will be held in the front parking lot of Sunset Plaza next to First National Bank. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the event. Julius is offering a QUIET HOUR from 9:00 am-10:00 am for children with special needs so they can enjoy the event without the noise and crowds.
Companies present include: Matteo Sand & Gravel, Norfolk Fire & Rescue, Greenline, Mark Benedict Car 79 Racing, Model Electric, West-Hodson Concrete, Elkhorn Paving, Madison County Sheriff, Whartman Concrete Pumping, US92’s AirTime, Waste Connections, Vic’s Engine Repair, Nebraska Machinery Co., RDO Truck Center, D & L Towing and the Norfolk Police Department.

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.
Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact Kelle Tichota at the Chamber.
Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
