There is always something going on in Norfolk, Nebraska! Between community events, business promotions, or committee meetings, there is plenty to discover on our Events Calendar.
Business Entrepreneurial Workshop
The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council, Northeast Community College, Invest Nebraska and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to host a workshop next week on available grant dollars, low interest loans and business assistance by statewide experts. The event will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center on the campus of Northeast Community College on Thursday, November 10th from 8:00AM – 10:00AM.

"If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should plan to attend this interactive seminar and workshop to learn how to take advantage of some new amazing programs available in Nebraska," said Dennis Houston, President and CEO of the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce.
Co-hosted by Eric Zeece with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and Dan Hoffman, Executive Director of Invest Nebraska, the presentation highlights the Nebraska Talent and Innovation Initiative. Nebraska has some of the strongest public policy enhancing technology and innovation, and growing new, technology-focused companies in Nebraska. These gentlemen will explain how Norfolk area businesses can take advantage of these amazing programs to grow their business.
The presentation is focused on local business and community leaders, investors, educators, and start-up enterprises. It will highlight features of new programs such as:
- Intern Nebraska
- Gallup Entrepreneur Accelerator System
- The Angel Investment Tax Credit
- Nebraska Innovation Fund- prototyping and commercialization programs
- Nebraska Progress Loan Fund
- Nebraska Progress Seed Fund
- Micro- Enterprise Assistance
- Applied Industry Research Fund
- Economic Gardening

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.

Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact ktichota@norfolkareachamber.com at the Chamber.

Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
