City of Norfolk - Annual City Surplus & Police Div Auction
The City of Norfolk will hold its annual City Surplus and Police Division Auction on Thursday, June 13.
Items being auctioned include a 2011 STECO 50’ walking floor trailer, a 2010 STECO 50’ walking floor trailer, various park playground equipment, campground grills, bounce horses, over 30 bikes in various sizes, styles, and conditions, miscellaneous men’s and women’s jewelry, watches, DeWalt tools, a toolbox, and more.
The auction will begin at 5:00 p.m. at 708 McKinley Avenue, Norfolk, Nebraska (across from the Ta-Ha-Zouka softball complex). Norfolk auctioneer Gary Bretschneider will lead the auction. Items will be available for viewing at the auction location starting at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the auction.
If you plan to purchase larger items, please ensure you bring an adequate vehicle for transportation. Once the auction concludes, you will have one hour to load your purchases. All items must be paid for by cash or check on the day of the sale.
Proceeds from items auctioned by City divisions will go towards the City’s general budget. Funds from items sold by the Police Division, as mandated by Nebraska State Statute, will benefit the Norfolk Public School System.

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.

Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact ktichota@norfolkareachamber.com at the Chamber.

Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
