Industry Roundtable Meeting
Fellow Business Leaders:
The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Joe Ferguson and the Business and Industry Department at Northeast Community College to specifically address the needs of industry in the Norfolk area. Please plan to Join other plant managers and business leaders for a 7am breakfast discussion on Tuesday, September 13th at Bailey’s Restaurantat Country Inn & Suites on 13th Street. We will have you out the door by 8AM so you can get back to the office. Our goal at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce is to identify and discuss topics of common interest and concern, and to provide an opportunity for ongoing dialogue and involvement by the major employersand industries in the Norfolk area.
Our hope is that this will be the first in a series of regular monthly meetings to address common issues specific to industry such as:
- Workforce development and labor force availability
- Transportation
- Logistics
- Safety
- Training – both safety and management
- Potential shared services among the Norfolk business community
- Other hot topics of the day

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.

Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact ktichota@norfolkareachamber.com at the Chamber.

Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
