There is always something going on in Norfolk, Nebraska! Between community events, business promotions, or committee meetings, there is plenty to discover on our Events Calendar.
Norfolk Downtown Community Garden Applications Available Soon
The Norfolk Downtown Community Garden at 4th and Phillip Avenue is announcing that applications for garden plots will begin on January 15, 2012. Forms are available at the First United Methodist Church office at 406 West Phillip Ave. or they can be sent (via email only) upon request, 402-371-2785. Spaces are limited to first come, first serve.
Garden plots are available to individuals, families, and to groups who may wish to use a garden for educational or therapeutic purposes. You may grow extra food for donation purposes, but not to sell for profit. Some gardening education activities are being planned for this year as well.
If there are businesses, groups, or individuals who would like to provide sponsorship to the garden in some way, please contact the church at 402-371-2785 for more information.

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.

Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact ktichota@norfolkareachamber.com at the Chamber.

Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
