Small Business Council & SBA Award Luncheon (Petersen Ag)
The SBA will offer an exciting seminar designed to take the mystery out of the process of applying for federally-guaranteed small business loans. “Take the Mystery out of SBA Loans” will connect small business owners with financing programs to expand their operations and create jobs, and for entrepreneurs resolving to take the steps to create a new business. The SBA provides short- and long-term guaranteed loans to eligible, credit-worthy start-ups and existing small businesses that cannot obtain financing on reasonable terms through normal lending channels. SBA provides a number of loan programs for most small business needs. During this seminar, a representative from the SBA will explain the importance of a strong business plan, how the SBA’s resource partners -- SCORE, the Women's Business Center and the Nebraska Business Development Center -- can help, and why lenders use SBA guaranteed loans in their financing projects.

How to Post on the Events Calendar
As a Chamber member, you have the opportunity to promote your business’ events, meetings, and workshops on our Events Calendar. Being active in your community by hosting public events, is a great way to help market your business, and the Chamber is happy to assist you with this effort.
Submitting to the Events Calendar is easy, and completely FREE for all Chamber members! There are two options for Chamber businesses to use when posting events on our Events Calendar.

Member Information Center (MIC)
We encourage our members to use the Member Information Center as a way to independently post events, meetings, or workshops. Through your account information given to you by the Chamber, you are able to log into this system and post directly to our Events Calendar yourself! You can also use the MIC to access more exclusive Chamber member resources. To learn more about the MIC, or to get your account information, please contact ktichota@norfolkareachamber.com at the Chamber.

Contact the Chamber
The other option you can use when posting events, is to simply email the event details to the Chamber. The information you provide to us about your event will be used when posting onto the calendar. If you would like more control over the information given or details provided, we encourage you to try posting your event to the Member Information Center, as previously explained.
